Rob Johnson... On The Issues

"We need more conservative leaders in the Senate who will oppose wasteful spending, support lower taxes, and defend the traditional moral values that Oklahomans believe in," says Rob Johnson.

"When I see the liberals in Washington raising taxes to historic levels and spending us deeper into debt, I worry about the future of our country," says Johnson. "The states that have modeled their policies after the Democrats in Washington, like California and New York, are literally on the verge of bankruptcy. I'm running for the State Senate to keep Oklahoma from going down that path."

Johnson has experience in policymaking at the state level. He served four years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, where he was known for his conservative stances on taxes, spending and moral issues and was a member of House Leadership.

"In the House of Representatives, I opposed wasteful spending and helped pass the two largest tax cuts in Oklahoma history," says Johnson. "I also authored lawsuit reform and other measures to help our small businesses grow and add jobs. The private sector, not government, is the economic engine of America."

Johnson says his main priority as a Senator will be to ensure a bright future for Oklahoma families and businesses.

"Oklahoma is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family," says Johnson. "If the politicians in Oklahoma City will focus on creating a smaller, less burdensome government that respects conservative moral values, Oklahoma has a bright future."
